Hunter’s Point South Developers host “Party in the Park”

Posted on 11/15/2014 by New Yorker

To celebrate the mid-point of the application period for its 925 affordable apartments, the Hunter’s Point South developers – Related Companies, Phipps Houses and Monadnock Development – and NYC Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer are inviting New Yorkers to attend a Party in the Park today, Saturday, November 15th from 1pm to 4pm.

The event will give prospective tenants a chance to see where the 924 affordable units are being built and to get a first hand glimpse of the construction progress at the waterfront. Free live music from the John Schmitt Band and family-fun activities will be available all afternoon, and all visitors will receive free food during the first hour of the event from some of New York’s most popular food trucks and vendors including: COFFEED; Red Hook Lobster Pound; Sweetery NYC; and Eddie’s Pizza, among others. An exclusive east River ferry Vessel will provide free transportation running to and from East 34th Street in Manhattan to Hunter’s Point South every 15 minutes between the hours of noon and 5pm. All guests will also be able to participate in a free raffle at the HPSLiving photo booth and be automatically entered to win gift certificates from some of Long Island City’s most well-known restaurants and shops. Anyone who visits the photo booth and posts their picture on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using #HPSLiving will be automatically entered to win. All winners will be announced on the Hunter’s Point South Living Facebook and Twitter pages on Monday, November 17th at noon.
