Every year thousands of New Yorkers join the call from Partnerships for Parks, a public-private partnership led by NYC Parks and the City Parks Foundation, and volunteer their time and energy to clean up and care for their neighborhood parks and public spaces.
On 25 October, HPPC is organizing It’s My Park Day activities and calling on volunteers to help clean debris and weed the tree beds at Hunter Point Park South. The Conservancy will also be hosting a plant identification activity highlighting the unique fauna who call the park home.
For anyone interested in lending a helping hand, the events will take place between 10 am and 1 pm. Check-in tables will be placed near the restrooms behind the concession stand at the ferry terminal.
