LIC’s famed annual feast is back for the 9th time! On Tuesday, June 3, Gantry Plaza State Park will be hosting Taste of LIC festival, with a lineup featuring a record 50+ neighborhood eateries, including seasoned veterans like Alewife Queens, M. Wells Dinette, Casa Enrique, Sweetleaf and Testaccio, as well as exciting newcomers like 51st Bakery and Café, 1682 French Louisiana, Beyond Kombucha, White Coffee Corporation, Hibino LIC, Mar’s, Blend on the Water and COFFEED.

More than 1,400 visitors are expected to sample the smorgasbord of culinary treats and watch performances by Woodside and Sunnyside Girl Scouts. A neighborhood hit, Jimmy Van Bramer will be emcee the event and one hundred local businesses will donate prizes for a silent auction and raffles, including trips from JetBlue and gift certificates to favorite LIC spots. An official after-party with special drinks and dancing will be held for all ticket holders at Sweetleaf on Center Boulevard.

The event is being organized by The Chocolate Factory, a non-profit theater company, which founded Taste of LIC in 2005. Tickets ranging from $60-$400 can be purchased at chocolatefactorytheater.org and depending on availability, will also be sold on the day. The proceeds from Tuesday’s event will go toward company’s dance, theater and music season.
