Get ready for a massive outdoor dance party under the stars right here at the LIC waterfront – and the good news is, it won’t disturb your neighbors either. On September 12, the Lincoln Center is hosting Silent Disco in Queens as part of its effort to bring art and entertainment programs to all the boroughs of New York City. The latest craze in nightlife, quiet clubbing or silent disco encourages partygoers to shake it up to the latest beats, which are delivered via wireless headphones. For observers, the event will appear odd as dancers move to “silent” beats.

Lincoln Center Local Silent Disco will open at 5:30 pm, and dance lesson by professional instructor Diane Nardone will start at 6:00 pm and warm up the crowd. DJs Bill Coleman and Bobby Morales will start spinning at 7 pm and will feed different sets into the partygoers’ wireless headphones. The party ends at 10 pm.

The event is free – attendance is on a first come, first served basis. Government ID is required to obtain headphones

See you on the dance floor!
