Three Long Island City microbreweries, Rockaway Brewing Company (46-01 5th Street), Big Alice Brewing (8-08 43rd Road) and Transmitter Brewing (53-02 11th Street) are teaming up to host a beer crawl during beer week from Feb. 20 to March 1.

Participants will receive a free brewery passport, which can be picked up at any of three breweries and will be stamped at each venue. After receiving a stamp from all three breweries, they will also to be entered into a raffle for an assortment of beer related prices prizes to be drawn on March 1.
Drinks will be for sale although the breweries will be offering free samples. Rockaway, which specializes in malts, will offer customers a free sample of each beer.  A pint is $5 and a flight of beers, consisting of a number of four-ounce tasters will be priced at $7. Both Transmitter, which specializes in farmhouse ales, and Big Alice, which offers creative beers such as vanilla prune, will also offer tastings.
The three microbreweries decided to organize the crawl with the goal of promoting both, their products and Long Island City as a beer destination.
